Services were held at Newton Baptist Church, Monday, January 21, 2002 at 2 p.m. Rev. Eddie Shoemaker officiated. Interment followed at Newton Cemetery in Delhi.
Survivors include wife, Thelma Lois Allen of Delhi; son, Charles Calvin Henry Allen Jr. of Vicksburg; son, James Wayne Allen of Longview, Tx.; daughter, Thelma Callaway of Delhi; daughter, Mary Nell Hale of Greenwood, Mississippi; brother, Hilton Allen, Call, Tx.; brother, Ellis Allen of Delhi; sister, Betty Jo Staney of Start; sister, Lois Okrusty of Monroe. Numerous nieces and nephews; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Allen was preceded in death by Blanchard Monroe, Bruce Monroe, Claude Earl Hosea, Clinton Weems, Lynn Blake, Sonny Hosea.
Mr. Allen was a member of Newton Baptist Church and was a retired farmer.
