Pontotoc - KATHRYN RACKLEY O'BRIEN, 83, formerly of Memphis, TN, died December 15, 2008 at Pontotoc Hospital. She was born to Ervin and Opal Rackley on October 9, 1925 in Chickasaw County, MS and grew up in Troy, MS. She later moved to Memphis, TN in 1949 and returned to Pontotoc in 1996. She was employed at Baptist Hospital in Memphis as a Nurses assistant.

She had a son, Buddy O'Brien and a daughter, Beth Lansen, and a sister, Eva Rogers Nash who preceded her in death. She was a kind, loving mother, sister, and daughter. She was the widow of Norman O'Brien.

She leaves two sisters, Allene Prude, Maxine Toldi, both of Memphis.

Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 17 at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, Pontotoc, MS. Burial will be in Eddington Cemetery, Pontotoc. Memorials may be made to Eddington Cemetery Fund, c/o 1699 Eddington Rd, Pontotoc, MS 38863.
