Carrie Elizabeth Gray, 85, died October 7, 1991, in a nursing home.

Mrs. Gray was born in Bedford County, Va., where she was a member of Jeters Chapel. She was the widow of Luther B. Gray Sr.

Survivors include a daughter, Geraline G. Minton of Portsmouth; three sisters, Dovie Spradlin and Odell Howell, both of Vinton, Va., and Eunice Mayhew of Mount Dora, Fla.; a brother, Joseph Fore of Vinton; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Olive Branch Cemetery by the Rev. Philip J. Parker. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Snellings Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel.
