Mrs. Hester Fant Died At Abanda Feb. 15th.
Mrs. Hester Fant, wife of W. D. Fant of Abanda, died at her home there on February 15th following a lengthy illness. The deceased was 66 years of age and had been active in the church affairs of her community for many years.
Funeral service was held at Mt. Springs with the Revs. G. D. Hunt and Howard Christian officiating. Interment was in the Mt. Springs Cemetery with J. E. Cutler, LaFayette funeral director, in charge of arrangements.
Surviving are the husband, W. D. Fant; four daughters, Mrs. W. T. Evans, Roanoke; Mrs. A. J. Hand, Tifton, Ga., Mrs. O. L. Allen, Abanda, and Mrs. Grady Miles of Wadley; one son, O. G. Fant of Abanda; two brothers, J. M. Laney, Cusseta; D. M. Laney, Tuscaloosa; and one sister, Mrs. W. T. Wood, Tifton, Ga.
