He was born on October 22, 1926 in Curwensville, a son of the late George D. and Mae L. (Hummel) Ardary.
Harry served in the US Army during World War II in the Pacific area.
He worked for Gulf Oil Corporation in Philadelphia for 10 years, leaving to join Pennwalt Corporation, Philadelphia. He retired in 1992 after 30 years of service.
Harry enjoyed hunting and fishing for years with his sons and grandsons.
He attended Springfield Baptist Church and the Christian Fellowship Church, New Holland.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor C. 'Elly' (Yung) Ardary, whom he wed August 18, 1951 in Pittsburgh,
three children, David Ardary and wife Victoria of Springfield; Sandra Dermigny and husband James of Drexel Hill; Mark Ardary and wife Susan of Media
seven grandchildren, Samantha, Adam, Eric, Amy, Brittany, Stephen and Tyler
a brother and sister, J. Max Ardary and wife Gail of Woodstock, GA; G. Jean Massey and husband John of Somerset, KY and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Osterhout and Cora V. Ardary.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Saturday at 2:30 P.M. with Rev. Daniel M. Osterhout officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.
Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home by the members of the Clearfield American Legion Post #6 and Clearfield Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1785 Honor Guard.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 -2:30 PM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Curwensville, PO Box 312, Curwensville.
