Albert Eugene Gutshall, RD3, Carlisle, died yesterday at his home. He was 79 years old.
Born on Nov. 3, 1885, in Cumberland County, near Newville, he was a son of the late Simon and Rebecca Wise Gutshall. He had been employed by the Carlisle Tire and Rubber Company for many years. He was a member of the McClures Gap Church of God. He attended the Opossum Hill Union Church where he was a life trustee. He also preached in this church and in the surrounding area for many years.
He is survived by his: his wife, Mrs. Bertha F. Sipe Gutshall, RD3; a daughter, Mrs. Lester R. Moffitt, RD3, Newville; a brother, George C. Gutshall, RD1, Newville; a sister, Mrs. Ida Myers, RD3; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the new Roth Funeral Home, Walnut Bottom Road at Belvedere Street. The Rev. William D. Petry, Sr., former pastor of the Plainfield Charge Church of God, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Benjamin F. Lebo. Burial will be in Ouossum (sic) Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday evening at the funeral home.
