Willie Mae Ayres, 54, of Eustis died Thursday (Jan. 9, 2003). Born in Quincy, she was retired from the Lake County School system and was a member of Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church. She was president of the Mother's Board, Pastors Aide Board, and was a Sunday school and Bible study attendee. Survivors include her husband, Johnnie Ayres; father, Leroy Kenon of Tavares; brothers, Joseph Kenon of Tavares and Clarence Kenon of Woodbury, Minn.; and sisters, Lou Ethel Jenkins and Lear R. Short, both of Tavares, Annie P. Smith and Ethel M. Hicks, both of Quincy. Marvin C. Zanders Funeral Home, Apopka.


Funeral services for Willie Mae Ayres will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday (Jan. 18, 2003) at Mt. Zion P.B. Church, 520 N. Prescott St., Eustis, with Elder E.M. Rollins officiating. Family and friends may call at Mt. Zion P.B. Church, 520 N. Prescott St., Eustis, Friday (Jan. 17, 2003) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Burial will be at Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis. Marvin C.
