Florence Grove Woods wrote the following in 1982, about the above photo, which was taken in 1925:

On August 23, 1925, the Ninth Biennial Hufford Reunion convened in the city of Lancaster, Ohio. It was held in connection with a Memorial Centennial Celebration for Casper Hufford, who was born August 31, 1762, in Frederick County, Maryland, and who died on November 28, 1825, in Fairfield County, Ohio. Casper, his wife Catharina, and their son John were buried on his farm in Section thirty-six of Pleasant Township in a small family cemetery, 33 by 66 feet. It is also shared by members of the John Beery family, who lived on the adjoining farm. Franklin Pierce Hoffert, family historian and author of the 1909 HUFFORD FAMILY HISTORY, formed a committee for the purpose of restoring this cemetery and enclosing it with concrete to hold the markers in position. Members were asked to all have a part in defraying the expense. The above occasion was to be an all-day event with many good speakers, including the Governor of Ohio and the Mayors of Lancaster and Bremen. It featured good old-time singing, with refreshments on the farm and a good spring of water.
