Chester Lee Allen, 82, of 301 Wallis Drive, died Saturday in a local hospital, following a lengthy illness. He was retired as a building contractor and at one time he had been active in the automobile business. he was a member of the Baptist Church, and had served as a councilman of Rollingwood for two years.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Goldie Allen of Austin; one sister, Mrs. Eugene L. Key of Lampasas; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Wilke-Clay Funeral Home, Rev. Dr. John B. Davidson, of Baylor University, Waco, and Rev. Gordon B. Bays, pastor of Congress Avenue Baptist Church, officiating.
Graveside services will be Monday at 4:15 p.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery, Lampasas.
