MR. WILLIAM S. GLASPER, JR., age 78, passed away, Jan. 18, 2009 at ET. York Hospice Care Center. Mr. Glasper served in the U-S. Army, and was a member of the Elks Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion, and was a retired U. S. Postal Worker.
Mr. Glasper is survived by his children: Johnnie L. Glasper, Betty J, Slaughter, both of Jacksonville, FL, Barbara Jackson, Duluth, GA, and Noris E. Mitchell, Gainesville, FL.
Funeral services for Mr. Glasper will be held, 3:30pm, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Rev. Hone Brown, officiating; burial will be held at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. Arrangements entrusted to Chestnut Funeral Home, Inc.
Mr. Glasper will repose in the Chestnut Memorial Chapel on Fri., Jan. 23, 2009, from 3-8pm, and on Sat. at the Church from 2:30pm until the hour of service; there will be no viewing following the eulogy. The cortege will form at the home of Mr. Glasper, 1425 S.E. 19th Ter., at 2:45pm.
