Little River Monitor
CYRUS CLUTTER
CYRUS CLUTTER was born May 26, 1855, at East Town, Allen county, Ohio. He was married to Ida Sinift March 19, 1877. Their children are Ralph and Frank of Oklahoma City and Park and Edna of Little River.
In March, 1885, the family moved to Kansas, settling northeast of Little River. About forty years ago they moved to town where Mr. Clutter was engaged in business for a number of years. After the death of the wife and mother, December 1, 1906, Mr. Clutter returned to Ohio and remained twenty seven years. There he married Mrs. Bertha Pfeifer. On her death, four years ago, he again came West to spend his last years on his farm west of Little River. Park and wife came to assist him.
Two years ago his health began to fail, but he reminded us: "After a man has had eighty years of health and strength he should not complain" and he never did. He was released Thursday evening, September 9, 1937.
Funeral services were conducted from the M. E. Church by Rev. Howard L. Williams at 2:30 Saturday afternoon. The body was laid to rest in Bean cemetery.
