Brackeen, William ---Cooper, Texas, June 29, 1935
W.E. Brackeen, 75, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Walter Millican, in Lubbock Wednesday afternoon. Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon by the Rev. R. E. Streetman, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Burial was in Oak Lawn Cemetery. He is survived by nine children. Ed Brackeen and Mrs. Beulah Helm, Oklahoma City; Eutah Brackeen, Slaton; Mrs Walter Millican, Lubbock; Mrs. M. S. Wiginton, San Antonio; Mrs. Paul Tucker, Youngstown, Ohio; W.S. Brackeen, Clyde Brackeen, and Claude Brackeen of this city. Twenty-six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Note: Mrs. Paul Tucker is Ruby Una Brackeen Tucker, also buried in this family plot.
