Mr. D. C. Ticknor Dies At His Daughter's Home
Mr. DeMilt Curtice Ticknor, 79, died Wednesday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Graves, where he had made his home the past three weeks, coming here from East Rochester. He was born in Florence, NY, Oct. 6, 1868, a son of William and Cleantha Curtice Ticknor. His wife was the former Miss Lois Wilson. Mr. Ticknor was a member of the Baptist church, East Rochester. He was a book-keeper since he was 14 years of age. His last position was with the Ontario Drill Company, East Rochester, where he was employed 36 years, retiring in 1944.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lois Ticknor, Mexico; one daughter, Mrs. Charles Graves, Mexico; one son, Clarence Ticknor, Rochester, and several grandchildren.
The body was removed to East Rochester, Wednesday, by Karl W. Gibbs, local undertaker, where funeral services will be held Friday afternoon, at 2 o'clock from the Fryatt Funeral Home, and burial will be in the Perinton cemetery, Perinton, N. Y.
