On Sept 5, 1958 she married Armond E. Wheeler Jr and they raised 11 children: Peggy, Debbie, Armond III, Kandy, Arnold, Armanda, Adrianne, Shelly, Mark, Matt and John.
Our mother left us May 2, 2007 on her 65th birthday. She leaves her children and her husband of 49 years behind as well as 29 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
More than 10 years ago I started doing a family tree and relied on Gurt for lots of info on our family. She was a walking encylopedia of who's who in Norwich and Chenango Co because she seemed to remember everyone. After my mom passed away I shared my passion with my big sis Peg who has taken this with both hands and run like hell with it. I'm sure that Mom would be as proud of her as I am for all the effort and time she has put in on this project as well as the pictures that she was able to come up with.
Thank you to all the people who have left flowers and their kind words. Even after over 2 years I miss her sooo much and wish that I could tell her how much I love her.
I think of my Mom or "Gurt" as I called her everyday and miss her dearly.
