Miss Mattie Short died suddenly at her Route 4, Greenville home.
Funeral services were conducted at the St. Peter Baptist Church with the Rev. N. Harris officiating.
Surviving at the time were one daughter, Mrs. Barbara Ward of Alexandria, VA., four sisters, Miss Beulah Short of Greenville, Mrs. Eva Hyman of the home, Mrs. Eula Johnson of Route 4, Greenville, and Mrs. Lillie B. Johnson of Newport News; three brothers, Issac Short of the home, Edward Arthur Short of Greenville and Cellio Mack Short of Route 4, Greenville and two grandchildren. Arangements were handled by Flanagan and Parker Funeral Home.
