Mary Sandra "Sandy" Greer-Fraley-Adkins, age 56, of Josephine, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2008 at the home of her daughter. Sandy was a former member of the Glen White Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, camping and the outdoors.
Born November 4, 1951, she was the daughter of Ceretha Greer-Tedder and the late William Max Greer Jr. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, William C. "Speedy" Fraley Jr. (Deceased); a daughter, Candy Fraley-Perdue (Deceased); and one brother, William Max "Billy" Greer III (Deceased).
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband David Wayne Adkins of Josephine; a daughter, Polly Ann Fraley of Josephine; her mother, Ceretha June Tedder of Glen White; step-children, Crystal G. Meadows & husband Greg Meadows of Princewick, WV, Julia Godbey & husband Sam Godby of Princewick, April D. Greer & husband Chris Greer of Mullens, WV, Jessie Hypes & husband Josh Hypes of Mullens, WV; a favorite grandson, Stephen Reed; six grandchildren, seven step grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and two step sisters, Donna Potts of FL and Sandy Gillespie of Virginia Beach, VA.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2008 at Williams Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Sophia with Rev. James Coalson officiating. Burial will follow at Hot Coal Cemetery, Hot Coal.
