Veta S. Butler, 63, of Mechanicsville, widow of William L. Butler, went to be with the Lord Friday, December 28, 2001. She is survived by three children, Linda Tuck Rutledge of Red Oak, Va., Chip Tuck and his wife, Dianne of Mechanicsville and Karen Tuck Lawson and her husband, Joe of Mechanicsville; one stepson, Billy Butler and his wife, Mary Beth; two brothers, Garland Smith and his wife, Joyce and Larry Smith and his wife, Kathy; seven grandchildren, Shannon, David Wayne, Brandon and Brandy Marie Rutledge, Angie and Brian Lawson and Elizabeth Tuck. Mrs. Butler retired from Philip Morris and attended Broadus Memorial Baptist Church.
