Jerald Dean Anderson, age 75, of Provo, formerly of Burley, Idaho, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008, after a long struggle with cancer.

He was born June 15, 1933, to DeWayne Nathan and Maggie Josephine Smith Anderson of Burley, Idaho.

He was a native of Idaho, where he spent most of his years, leaving to serve his country in the United States Army from 1953-1955.

He was married to Loraine Andreasen on July 16, 1952, until her death on July 2, 1980.

They are survived by their five children, DeLayne Anderson, Deanne Patterson, Gary Anderson, Lola Jo Nunnally and Jeff Anderson.

He later married Bonnie Rae Hull on June 25, 1982, who survives him along with her eight children, Mike King, Paul King, Bryce King, Blaine King, Janine Scheele, Darrell King, Charlene Chabries and Val King. Also surviving are two brothers, DeVaun Anderson and Wayne Anderson; one sister, Laura Gerstner; and many grandchildren.

Jerald worked for Intermountain Health Care at the Cassia Memorial Hospital in Burley, as CFO and assistant administrator for more than 27 years until his retirement. He was a member of the LDS Church where he served faithfully in various callings and was also a member of the Burley Kiwanis Club.

Jerald enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, sports and singing with the grandchildren. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be very missed.
