"A Lady of ?" with music by Arthur Gershwin and Fred Spielman, 1944.

This advertising herald promotes the pre-Broadway tryout of the musical "A LADY OF ?" at the Colonial Theatre in Boston, beginning December 25th, 1944. (The production was titled "A LADY OF ?" during the out-of-town tryouts, but was retitled "A LADY SAYS YES" prior to opening January 10th, 1945 at the Broadhurst Theatre in New York City. The show would run for only 87 performances.) The musical starred CAROLE LANDIS, SUE RYAN and CHRISTINE AYRES and featured ARTHUR MAXWELL, JACQUELINE SUSANN, VICTORIA SCHOOLS (replaced out-of-town by MARTHA KING), PITTMAN CORRY, TATIANA GRANTZEVA, STEVE MILLS, EARL McDONALD, AL KLEIN and JACK ALBERTSON. This was Arthur Gershwin's only Broadway credit.
