Obituary - "The Morning Call," 7 May 1945
Mrs. Maude M. Egge. (nee Briegel), 1823 E. Dent St.. this city, died on Sunday in the Allentown hospital in her 58th year. She had been a patient in the institution lor three weeks. She was born in Catasauqua Jan. 8. 1887, and was reared in that community. Her husband, Russell D. Egge, died a number of years ago. There survive three sons, Alfred and Harold Egge, this city, and Norman, at home; three daughters. Marion, wife of Melvin Aaron, and Rachel and Geraldlne Egge, at home; three step-sisters, Prlscilla, wife of Ralph Snyder, Fullerton; Phoebe Steyert, Catasauoua, and Florence, wife of Harvey Bell, this city; two step-brothers, William and Harry Steyert, Catasauqua; her step-father, Harry Steyert Sr., and two grandchildren. The funeral will take place on Thursday at 1 p. m. from the Oliver S. Burkholder funeral home, 1717 Hanover Ave., with continued service at St. Peter's Reformed Church, Tacoma St., this city, of which she was a member. Interment in Union Cemetery, Hellertown.
