Teresa was the ninth of eleven children born to Thomas and Anna (Horoho) Ryan. She was born October 4, 1895 in South Bend, Indiana. Teresa never married. She had wanted to become a nun but was not considered healthy enough to be accepted by an order. She lived with her older sister, Kathryn, in the same house for over 40 years in Kokomo. She lived to be 87 years old!
She worked for several years in the Howard County treasurer's and clerk's offices, and in the Kokomo City Building. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. She died at Forest Park Healthcare Center on December 7, 1982. A funeral mass was held at the church with the Rev. Craig Davis officiating. Burial was at Crown Point Cemetery. A scripture service was read at the funeral home the day prior.
