DEATH TAKES SAMUEL WESLEY QUAKENBUSH

Samuel Wesley Quakenbush age 68, died at his residence, in Halbert Township, at 1:10 p.m. Saturday, after a serious illness of three months.
He was born in Martin County on July 1 1890, the son of William and Lucinda (Way) Quakenbush. On May 1 1917 , he married Elizabeth Fortner, who survives.
Mr. Quakenbush was a frmer and had been employed at the Crane Naval Depot. He was a member of Fairview E. U. B. Church.
In addition to his wife he leaves one daughter, Mrs Opal Ruth Barton of Ora, Ind. one brother, Jesse Quakenbush of Shoals; and two sisters:Miss Mae Quakenbush of Shoals; and Mrs. Emma Evans of Ashland Ill.
Funeral services were conducted at the Queen Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev, Lloyd Butler conducting the rites. Burial was made in the Butler Cemetery.
Music was provided by a quartette composed of Vernon Phillips,Byron Bridges ,Everett Sorrella and Curtis Keck, with Mrs. Vernon Phills as accompanist.
Pallbearers were Clay Gammon, Knofel Fortner, Ray Gammon, Waldo Warner, Howard Gammon and Denzel Fortner
