BOTTOM

Minnie Harries was born at Libertyville, IL., 6 Feb 1864 and passed away 27 Jan 1943 at the age of 78 years, 11 mo and 21 days. She came with her parents to KS at the age of 7 years. Her family settled on English Ridge.
She was united in marriage to James Bottom, 13 Mar 1884. She moved with her husband and son, Oscar, to the Rolling Prairie community in 1889, living there over 53 years. Mrs Bottom and her daughter, Mary moved to Onaga, KS., 21 Dec 1942.
Her husband, her first born son, her youngest son, John, four brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
Mrs. Bottom leaves to mourn her departure a son, Oscar E. Bottom, a daughter, Mary May Bottom, two grandsons, James E. Bottom, Glenn William Bottom, and one great-grand daughter, Shirley Jeannette Bottom, and one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Oscar Bottom.
She was a member of the Methodist church at Bucks Grove. She was a patient sufferer for over two years and was always true to her faithful God. She had many friends among her neighbors, who extend sympathy to her children and relatives.
A short memorial service was held in the Tessendorf Funeral chapel in Onaga, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. Lower. Funeral services were conducted at the Bucks Grove Methodist church at 2:30 o'clock by Rev. Eckart of Mayetta. Burial was in the Bucks Grove cemetery.
