J. E. Edmundson
John E. Edmundson, 74, of 515 Race St., died at 1 a.m. today in his home after a prolonged illness. He was born Sept. 26, 1890, in McKeesport, a son of the late Edward F. Edmundson and Lydia Whigham Edmundson, and had lived in Connellsville for the past 28 years. He was a retired tally man for the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad and a member of the Brotherhood of Railway and Steamship Clerks, the First Baptist Church of Connellsville, and the Men's Bible Class. Surviving are a daughter, Miss Mary at home; a son, Edward F. of Arlington, Va., three grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. John (Nell) Knight of McKeesport. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Eliza M. Edmundson, March 16, 1959. The body will be at the Brooks funeral home, Connellsville, after 7 p.m. today. The funeral service will be held there at 2 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. B. Ellsworth Snoddy officiating. Interment will be in Normalville Cemetery.
