Equilda "Kilda" Chavez, 55, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt passed away suddenly on Friday, October 3, 2008.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Montoya; stepfather, Chato Valenzuela; brother, Jimmy Montoya; and grandson, Robert Lopez III. Kilda is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann Lopez and husband, Robert Jr., and Bernadette Garcia and husband, Martin; grandchildren, Josh, Bobby, Martin Jr., Dominic, Leann; and great-grandson, Robert Lopez IV.

She is also survived by her siblings, Jean Montoya and husband, Richard, Leroy Montoya and wife, Jane; Angie Valdez and husband, Cecilia Ward and husband, Isaac Aragon and wife, and Carlos Aragon and wife; nieces and nephews, Lilly, Jessica, Tina, David, Annette, and Ricky; and several great-nieces and nephews who loved her tremendously.

Pallbearers will be Josh and Bobby Lopez, Martin Garcia Sr., Martin Garcia Jr, Dominic Garcia, and Leroy Montoya.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Lopez Jr., and Carl Garcia. A Reception will be held at the Tower Road Baptist Church immediately following Burial.

Kilda will be greatly missed and always remembered for her love of life and trademark laugh.Go Cowboys!
