Retired from teaching in central Indiana after 29 years, Olive Harshbarger, 82, Timbercrest Church of the Brethren Home, died Wednesday, September 14, 1988, at 4:30 a.m. at Timbercrest Health Care. She was born February 4, 1906 to Mrs. Cleo Shambaugh Schultz. She married Albert E. Harshbarger August 22, 1931 and he survives at Timbercrest. She was a member of the Manchester Church of the Brethren.
Also surviving are two sons, Richard Harshbarger, North Manchester, and William Harshbarger, San Jose, California; one brother, Zeno Schultz, Akron [Indiana]; one sister, Mary Elizabeth Jaurique, Texas, and five grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday, September 17, 10:30 a.m. at Timbercrest Chapel, burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Rev. David Bowman and Rev. Timothy McElwee officiating. Calling hours will be 7 - 9 p.m. and one hour prior to services at Timbercrest Chapel. Memorial contributions to Manchester Church of the Brethren and the Indiana State Retired Teachers Association. Arrangements by DeLaughter Mortuary.
