Robert F. Cloke, 457 Answorth Circle, died Sunday at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Ann Arbor, after a long illness. He was born February 13, 1923, in Munising, the son of William and Josephine Degarie Cloke. He came to Ann Arbor in 1928. He served in World War II overseas for 25 months in the Red Arrow Division in Australia, the New Guinea campaign, Western Pacific, Southern Philippines and Luzon. He was wounded at Luzon and received the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Disab1ed War Veterans and V.F.W. of Ann Arbor. He is survived by his father, William F. Cloke, this city; one brother, William E. Cloke, also of this city; four sisters, Mrs. Louis Forester, this city; Mrs. Alfred Curtis, Ann Arbor; Mrs. Claude McPherson, Honolulu, Hawaii; and Mrs. James Scott, this city; several nieces and nephews. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, at 7:30 pm from the Staffan Hildinger Funeral Home. Services will be Wednesday at 9:30 am from St John's Catholic Church with the Rev. John Helner officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Staffan Hildinger Funeral Home.
