Mrs. Ireland was born October 2, 1879 in Scott County, KY. She was a daughter of John Wesley and Nancy Margaret Fields Coppage.
Mrs. Ireland was survived by a daughter, Miss Margaret F. Ireland and a son, Joe Talbert Ireland, both of Cynthiana, and by John Wesley 'Johnnie' Ireland, Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of her husband's brother, John Wesley Ireland, whom Joseph and Ollie raised after the death of Johnnie's father in 1911. Mrs. Ireland was also survived by a sister, Mrs. Ward Smith of Cynthiana, two grandsons, Joe F. Ireland and John Wesley Ireland II, both of Japan, and two great-grandchildren Sherri Lynn Ireland and John Wesley Ireland III, both of Santa Anna, California. Mrs. Ireland was predeceased by an infant child in 1898.
Mrs. Ireland was a member of the First Methodist Church in Cynthiana, KY.
Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Ireland on Monday, June 1, 1964 at Smith-Rees Funeral Chapel by Rev. Floyd D. Rose and Allie Lee Hughes, who was the son of Silas P. Hughes and a cousin of Mrs. Ireland's late husband Joseph.
Pallbearers were Junior Morrison, Clark Hiten, Gilbert Gravens, Raymond Works, Harry Simon, Jack Shirley, and Robert Durr.
