Betty Sue Posey Austin, 69, Florence, Ala., died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2001.Visitation was Monday evening at Greenview. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at New Hope Church of Christ, with burial in New Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Austin will be placed in the church one hour before the service.Officiating will be Carl Seigenthaler. Mrs. Austin had lived in this area most of her life.She is survived by her husband, Dennis E. Austin, Florence, Ala.; sons, Ed Austin and wife, Melissa, Florence, Ala., and Terry Austin and wife, Cindy, Florence, Ala.; daughter, Darla Austin, Florence, Ala.; sisters, Eloise Russom, Mount Pleasant, S.C., and Dot Ferrill, Knoxville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Christy Woods, Sueann Brewer, Amanda Austin, Drae Austin, Wesley Austin, Janet Staggs, Whitney Staggs; four great-grandchildren, Tydus Stewart, Danna Austin, Chandler Brewer, Austin Brewer; uncle, Andrew Posey, Florence, Ala.Mrs. Austin was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Elijah Posey and Gertha Mae Posey.Pallbearers will be Ernest Lawson, Kenneth Austin, Hal Gargis, Ray McIntyre, Lawrence Smith, Ralph England, Louie McIntyre and A.B.
