Ethel Ruth Miller, 51, of Fairmount City RD 1, died in her home on Friday, December 8, 1972, following an extended illness.

She was born January 29, 1921 at Mudlic, Armstrong County, the daughter of Charles and Edna Smith Kemp. She was married to Clarence E Miller who survives.

Mrs. Miller was employed by the Rola Company of Punxsutawney and was a member of the Mudlic United Methodist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are; her mother, Mrs. Edna Kemp, New Bethlehem RD 1; two step-sons, Clarence H Miller, New Bethlehem RD 3, and Richard D. Miller, Fairmount City; two step-daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Alverta) Smith, Greensburg and Mrs. J B (Lois) Best, Phoenixville; two brothers; Robert Kemp, New Bethlehem RD 1 and Harry Kemp, Rochester MIlls RD 1; and one sister: Mrs. Dawson (Sara) Reitz, Mayport RD 1.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Decmeber 11, 1972 in the Charles D Alcorn Funeral Home, Hawthorn, with the Rev. John E Harnish, pastor of the Hawthorn United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment was in the Eddyville Cemetery.
