Moses Austin Atkinson
Elon College - Final rites for Moses Austin Atkinson, 85, of Elon College, who died Friday, were conducted at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon at McClure Funeral Home at Burlington.
Officiating at the service were Dr. John Truitt, superintendent of the Congregational Christian Home for Children, and Rev. W. J. Andes, pastor of Elon College Community Church. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery here.
Active pallbearers were Henry Hilliard, Henry (Lack) Moore, Tommy Bowman, Bobby Maness, L. W. Wagoner and Luke Wagoner.
Honorary pallbearers included Joe B. Newman, Hurley Whitsell, L. D. Martin, Dr. N. F. Brannock, H. D. Lambeth, Lamont Sutton and F. B. Jordan.
