Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, January 23, at 2:00 o'clock for Mrs. William hatch at the Clover Chapel, with the Rev. Spencer Bower officiating. Burial was made in the Clover Cemetery under the direction of the Halterman Funeral Home of Clearbrook.
Pallbearers were Paul Kropp, Emil Noreen, Ted Richardson, Fred Gustafson, Melvin Johnson and Tom Torgerson.
Grace Hatch (Chase) was born May 28, 1886 at Crystal Lake, Iowa, and died at the Clearwater County Memorial Hospital Monday evening, January 19, 1953, at the age of 66 years.
On June 21, 1904, she was married to William Hatch at Garner, Iowa. During the spring of 1916 they moved to a farm north of Leonard, where they have made their home since.
She is survived by her husband, two sons, Donald of Shevlin and Elmer at home, and one daughter Mrs. George Smith (Ferne) of St. Paul. Also three grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Kratz and Mrs. Maud Oswaldson of Waseca, Minnesota.
She was loved, honored and respected by a host o' friends during her many years of service and devotion to her community.
