Charles Benjemmon Byram, son of, Lewis Case and Alvira Margaret (Roberts) Byram. He died at 82 years old.

Occupation: Farmer and worked on the CC Program during the Great Depression.

The funeral for Charles B. Byrum, 82 who died at his home Monday, will be Thursday at 1: 30 P.M. at Reynolds Funeral Home in Sigourney, The Rev. Orval Roach of Ollie Baptist Church will officate. Burial will be in Blakesburg Cemetery.

The son of Lewis Case Byram and Alvira Byram, was born near Dudley, Iowa June 17, 1881. Mr. Byrum lived most of his life in the Blakesburg communtiy, moving to Martinsburg about four years ago.

He was married December 18, 1911 Martinsburg, Keokuk Co., Iowa to Clara Edna Lathrop, who died January 11, 1961. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by one one daughter, two sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Fay Hayes of Martinsburg and Mrs. Grace Kelley of Hedrick; four sons, Owen of Packwood, Lawrence of Seattle, Wash., Eugene of near Ottumwa,and Clifford; and 13 grandchildren.

The body is at the Reynolds Funeral Home in Sigourney.
