Nickerson — George W. Owston, 78, retired farmer, died in his home here at. 4 p.m. Wednesday after a half day illness.
He was born in Delaware, Ohio, Dec. 12, 1868 and came to this community in 1885. He farmed for many years, then worked at the reformatory and Fort Dodge before retiring 15 years ago.
Survivors are his widow, Mary; and four brothers, Chancey and Howard, Nickerson, and Fred and C. A., Hutchinson.
