O. B. HERSHBERGER RITES HELD FRIDAY

OROVILLE - A funeral for Ota B. Hershberger, 76, who died April 5 in the Tonasket hospital, was held Friday from the Barnes chapel.

The Rev. R. S. Jones officiated. Hershberger was buried with Masonic rites in the Riverview cemetery.

He was born Jan. 16, 1879, in Linen (sic), W.V., and came to Oroville in 1904 when he homesteaded on Ellemehem Mt. until 1917.

Hershberger then moved into the valley where he owned and operated an orchard with his brother, A. C. Hershberger, until retiring a year ago when he moved to town.

He was a member of the Masonic lodge and the Knight of Pythias.

Surviving are three sistesr, Mrs. Annie Looney of West Virginia and Mrs. Gladys Jarvis and Mollie Hershberger, both of Seattle.
