Fred Oakley Storrs was born 20 Oct 1894 in Springville, Utah. He was the son of George Alfred & Sarah Corcelia Oakley Storrs. He married Adda Lottie Gibson 22 Jun 1914 in Fruit Mesa, CO. He and Lottie spent most of their marriage in Price. They were the parents of seven children (Lydia Donna, Irma Ruth, George Arthur, Sarah Edna, Helen Maude, Glenna Gene & Nana Dale). Fred worked as an accountant for the State Highway Dept. Lottie died in 1935 and Fred moved his younger daughters to Provo, Utah. He moved to California around 1940.
Fred was an inventor who patented several items including a "back scratcher". He also was a musician who wrote and published several songs including "Dream Baby, Dream". He was remembered by his daughter Gene as a gentle and loving father. He died in Downey CA at age 71 and is buried beside his wife Lottie at Price City Cemetery.
