From the Frankston Citizen dated July 18, 1963 --- FUNERAL RITES FOR JOHN B. HERRINGTON --- Funeral services were held Thursday at 10 a.m. for John Berten Herrington, 77, in the chapel of the Bailey Funeral Home in Palestine with burial in the Olive Branch Cemetery. Ref. Joe Young of Frankston and Rev. Clyde Woodward of Rusk officiated. Mr. Herrington, a retired stock farmer, died at his home at Brushy Creek Wednesday at 2 a.m. He was a native of Brushy Creek. Survivors are his sons, John Herrington of Seagoville, Jack C. Herrington of Frankston, and Homer Herrington of Palestine; a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Wade of Palestine, and nine grandchildren.
