ADKINS
Maxine Mildred Adkins, 75, of Section Line Rd., Lucedale, Miss., passed away Aug. 2, 2005, at Glen Oaks Nursing Home. She was born Nov. 30, 1929, in Akron, Ohio. She was a 38-year member of Salem United Methodist Church and an electric material handler at Ingalls.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Adkins; and parents, Nollie and Nina Bell Carter.
Survivors include her sons, David Adkins, Danny (Cindy) Adkins; three grandchildren, Hannah, Chip and Shelby Adkins, all of Lucedale; two brothers, Robert Carter of Lucedale and Howard Carter of Hillard, Fla..
Mrs. Maxine was a faithful and humble servant to her church, her family and her friends.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 5, 2005, at Salem United Methodist Church. Visitation will be prior to service from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church.
Interment will be at Carter Cemetery.
