He was the son of Anton Martin (b. abt 1882 in Austria) and his wife Mary Paulin (b. March 7, 1884 in Yugoslavia d. February 28, 1976 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio) I think they were married in or around 1905 probably in Yugoslavia.

He had one sister: Mary Anna Martin (b. August 8, 1909 at home; 4416 Fulton Street, Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio d. March 10, 1993 Hillcrest Hospital, Mayfield Heights, Cuyahoga, Ohio)She married Stanley John Kokotec on May 15, 1929 in St. Mary's Church in Collinwood, Cuyahoga, Ohio on Holmes Avenue by Rev. George Hovanec. Stanley was born November 13, 1906 in Yugoslavia and died March 8, 1961 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio. They had three children.

He married Mary (Mae) Mestnik on June 8, 1929 at St. Wenceslaus Church by Rev. Joseph W. Kondelka, Maple Heights, Cuyahoga, Ohio, USA. Mary (Mae) Mestnik was born in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio on February 2, 1905 to Joseph Mestnik and his wife Anna Jackopich. Mary (Mae) Mestnik died on July 20, 1997 in Bedford, Cuyahoga, Ohio. She is buried at All Saints Cemetery, Ohio. They had a son and daughter who are still living in Ohio.

He died on April 2, 1940 at St. Lukes Hospital, 11311 Shaker Blvd., Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio. He was buried on April 5, 1940 at Calvary Cemetery, Funeral was from the late residence, 20301 McCracken Rd., Bedford, Louis Ferfolia Funeral Home was in Charge.

He was the father of my mother in law. She is in her late 80's as of this date (July 2022). She was just 9 years old when her father passed away. She doesn't know anything about him except what I have found which shown here. We are trying to find out about this family and hopefully get copies of photo's of these people. If you knew this family please contact me at [email protected] so we can exchange information.

His name has been documented differently through out the years so it has been very hard to track him but his daughter believe his original surname was Martini. I am most interested in finding any relatives he may have had. (cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc.) I still haven't found his parents immigration records yet and I am even having a hard time getting a copy of his birth certificate. I ordered it but they sent me the wrong one.

1909 His parents are shown as Toney Martin and Mary Pruline
1910 Census shows him as Anthony Mertins
1920 as Toney Martine
1929 as Anthony T. Martin on Marriage Certificate
1930 I can not find
1940 Anthony Martin on Ohio Death Record
