Donald Max Beeler, 54, was born Oct. 8, 1942, in Burlington, Iowa, to Walter J. and Audrey V. (Grisham) Beeler. He died Oct. 31, 1996, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield following ashort illness.
Don graduated from Houston High School and received degrees in business management from Southwest Baptist College in Boliver and Soutwest Missoru State College in Springfield.
His employment included management with Newberry's Dept. Store in Springfield; mortgage banking in Kansas City and Ankeny, IA; a savings and loan branch manager in Council Bluffs, IA.; and real estate sales with Landmark Realtors in springfield. He was employed by Brown Derby Stores in Springfield and was recently manager of the No. 25 Store in Springfield.
He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in springfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, (Shirley) Sue Casterline. And second wife Kay.
Don is survived by his wife Kathy, of the home; one son, Martin Beeler and wife Jeannie of Kansas City, MO.; Three brothers, David of Springfield; Walter R. of Chico, CA.' John of Houston. Two sisters, Audrey Ann Bridges and husband Marvin of Springfield and Linda Keeney and husband M.B. of Rolla, and two grandchildren, Josh and James Stead. He is also survived by one uncle, Austin Grisham of Branson and two aunts, Maxine Grisham of Arnolds Park, IA. and Gertrude Grisham of Branson. Other survivors ionclude nine nieces and nephews and numerous other relatives and friends. A lifetime friend is Larry McKinney of Oklahoma City.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Satuday, Nov. 2 at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home South.


Don was my brother and is very missed. He was the baby for 6 years until I came along.
