Myrtle was the daughter of Lillard H. & Sarah Jane Dutton Jones. She married Troy Roosevelt Cripps 01 Nov, 1928 in Dekalb Co., TN.. They had three children: Javin, Marie & Nannie Rose Cripps.

Mrs. Myrtle Jones Crips was born September 10, 1910, and married Troy Crips November 29, 1928, and to this union was born three children. She departed this life April 15, 1940. She leaves to mourn her death her husband, Mr. Troy Crips, one step-son, Frank Crips, three children, Javin, Marie and Nannie Rose, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lillard Jones 2 sisters, Mrs. Minnie Dutton and Mrs. Ruby Robertson, one brother, Mr. Houston Jones, and a host of relatives and friends. She was a good wife, mother, neighbor and loved by all who knew her.
A vacant spot is in the home,
A lovely face is still,
She filled a place upon this earth,
No other one can fill.
