George Hughes, Jr. passed away on September 30, 2008 after suffering a massive stroke at age 65. He was surrounded by his family until the end.
Devoted husband of 37 years to Evelyn Hughes. Loving father to Laura Hughes, Robert Hughes, and Kimberly(Keith)Paller. He was a wonderful grandfather to Madison Hughes, Tristen Paller, Gavin Paller and Katelyn Paller.
George's sense of humor, guidance and knowledge about almost everything will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. George was a Vietnam War Veteran and served in the U. S. Air Force for 20 years. He later worked for Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia and was the Director of Clinical Pathology for Virtua Hospital. He also taught at the University of Pennsylvania. George loved to learn and was very well respected in his field.
Interment will be private at a later date.
