Eleanor Davis Cox of Biloxi died Sunday, September 5, 2004, in Ramsey Springs.

Mrs. Cox attended St. Francis de Salle Catholic School in Gulfport and graduated from Gulfport High School, class of 1938.

Daughter of the late Lee P. Davis and Lou Ella Holder Davis. Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her husband, Roy V. Cox, Sr., four sisters, Ethel Alley, Ada Howell, Cummie Roemers and Mavis Tyler. One brother, J.T. Davis.

She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and the Legion of Mary.

Mrs. Cox resided in Biloxi since 1943 and was owner-operator of Cox's Grocery. She was once employed at Keesler Air Force Base for several years having worked there when Keesler was an Army base.

She is survived by three daughters, Beverly Hebert and husband Septime of Biloxi, Carolyn Cook and husband Talmadge of D'Iberville and Jean Conine and husband Roy of Woolmarket. One son, Roy V. Cox, Jr. and wife Willene of Perkinston. She also leaves a loving and caring companion of many years, Mr. "Ted" Talkington, 19 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Joey Hebert, Chris Cook, Talmadge Cook, Jr., Ronnie Herrin, Rusty Herrin and Micah Cox.

Honorary pallbearers are Raymond Craven and Joey Olier.

The family of Mrs. Cox would like to give special thanks to Irene, Bronlyn, Mae and Glenda.

Burial will follow in Coalville Cemetery.
