Louise Kate Albin, 87, of rural Tuscola, went to be with her husband in heaven on October 23, 2008 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Albin was a daughter of the late Hobart and Clara (Demongeot) Troop born on January 1, 1921 in Antwerp, Ohio. She married Charles B. Albin on November 21, 1940 in Fort Wayne, In. Mr. Albin preceded her in death on September 30, 2008. Mr. and Mrs. Albin would have celebrated their 68th Wedding Anniversary in November. Mrs. Albin was a farm wife in the Hugo area from 1944 to the time of her death. She was a 4-H Leader for the Hindsboro Happy Homemakers in the 1960's, member of the Sacred Heart Altar and Rosary Society, the Hugo Jolly Bunch Club, the Douglas County Republican Women, the Douglas County Home Extension and worked on the Bowdre Township Election Board for many years.

She is survived by her daughters, Judy (Phil) Blaase, Arcola, Il., Mary (Jim) Warner, Alachua, Fl., sons, Lynn (Marcia) Albin and John (Debbie) Albin both of rural Camargo, Il. One son William R. Albin, preceded her in death. Mrs. Albin had 7 grandchildren, Angie (Bryan) Clark, Scott (Michelle) Albin, Michelle (Shane) Smith, Erika Albin, Ryan Albin, Kelly (Troy) Haines and Jamie (David) Weinar. She also had seven great grandchildren, Kylee, Lexee and Laynee Clark, Matthew Albin, Maddison and Morgan Smith, and Addison Haines.

Kate was preceded in death by one brother, Lewis Troop, and one sister, Josephine Troop. She is survived by one sister Grace Ley of Avilla, In.

Kate was a kind, gentle person who loved to look after others who needed her help. She loved to shop and went on many bus tours after her children were grown. She was a great cook and loved to bake.
