Jackie R. Courtney, Sr., 66, St. Joseph, MO, passed away Monday, January 17, 2005, at his home. He was born on February 15, 1938, to Henry Steven and Marie Ellen (Masoner) Courtney in Helena, MO. He grew up in the St. Joseph area. Jack retired from Iron Workers Local #10. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Henry Courtney, Orville Peterson, Paul Peterson, Gerald Peterson, and Willis Peterson, and daughter Peggy (Courtney) Earhart. He is survived by his wife Sharon Courtney, of the home; daughter Patricia (Courtney) Mandal, Excelsior Springs, MO; sons Jackie Courtney, Jr., and wife Angela, Springfield, MO, Bryan Courtney, Maryville, MO; three grandsons; two granddaughters; and one greatgranddaughter. Visitation 2-3:30 p.m. Saturday, January 22 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 18681 Hwy. 59, St. Joseph, MO. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date at the Everett Cemetery, Gower.
