GREENWOOD, W.Va. - Chester S. "Bud" Ankrom, 66, of Greenwood, W.Va., departed this life Aug. 31, 2003 at his residence in Greenwood.
Mr. Ankrom was born Dec. 14, 1936, in Joseph's Mills, Tyler County. He was retired from Mid-Atlantic Glass Co. of Ellenboro after 45 years of service and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Berna Kay Zickefoose Ankrom; a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Roger Tucker of Greenwood; a sister, June Bill of Columbus, Ga.; a grandson, Rick Moyers; two stepgrandchildren, Janie and Eric Tucker; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Ankrom was preceded in death by his parents, Omer N. and Luella M. Underwood Ankrom; a daughter, Connie Moyers; a grandson, Christopher Moyers; a brother, Cecil Ankrom; and a sister, Monnie Ankrom.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro, with the Rev. Robert Perine officiating. Interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Joseph's Mills.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
