Calvin A. Long was the son of Isaac Long 1
and Rebecca Rowland Perkins Long. He was
the grandson of Rev.George W. Long 1 and
Nancy 'Elizabeth' Maples Long. Also Andrew
Roland and Marie Margaret 'Hartzell' Roland.

Calvin A. Long was the husband of Cassie.
The couple died w/typhoid fever just a few
day's apart. The couple were the parents
of 14 children. At the time of their deaths,
the youngest child was Lewis, age 4, he was
raised by Mr. and Mrs. George H. Anderson.

NOTE: His first son was named John
Could it be after his gr.grandfather?

This "Long" cemetery is near the old homeplace
of his father, Isaac. Calvin's mother and
some of his siblings are buried here. His
father, Isaac Long 1 is buried in the Jefferson
Barricks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
Isaac Long 1 served in the Civil War, Union.

Calvin was listed in his parents household in
Walker Co., Ga. at the age of 2. Isaac and
his family had moved from Tennessee to
Walker County, Georgia near his older brother,
John Long 11 and his family.
Calvin was listed in his parents household in
Izard Co., Arkansas, in 1860, age 9.
His parents moved to Missouri, where his
father, Isaac Long enlisted in the Union,
during the Civil War. His father was
serving about a year, when he took very ill
and was in the hospital in St. Louis.
Sadly Isaac died and he is buried in the
National Cemetery in St. Louis.

Calvin has a grandson, Raymon Long that is
living today, 2008, in Arkansas.
UPDATE: Raymon Long died Dec. 24, 2011.
Calvin has two granddaughters living at this
time, 2011. UPDATE: One of the granddaughters
has passed, 2013.
Information came from Calvin's grandson,
Raymon Long. He gave and recorded the
inforamtion about the Long family
and their history.

Long cemetery and cleaning up the
stones for the pictures.
