Services for James S. Baccus, 76 of Eddyville, formerly of Between the Rivers were held at Dunn's Funeral Home. The Revs. C.C. Brasher, Tim Perdue and Gates Bowman officiated. Mr. Baccus passed away Tuesday at his home. A. U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, he was owner and president of Technical Skills Training and Consulting, Inc. He had retired from Air Products in Calvert City, as well as from American Synthetic Rubber Corp. in Louisville. He was a Master Mason of Joppa Masonic Lodge No. 167 in Eddyville. A member of Woodson Chapel Methodist Church of Between the Rivers, he also attended Eddyville First Baptist Church and was a member of the Fishers of Men Sunday school class. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Syble Calhoun Baccus, a son and daughter, 3 sisters, 4 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers. His parents were Fred and Margaret Alwilda Gray Baccus. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Between the Rivers Preservation Organization for "Rescue Our Cemeteries"
