WILLIAM T. BENEDICT
William Thomas Benedict, 76, retired farmer, died at 11 p.m. Monday at his home, 1400 West Morgan, Denison, Texas. He had been ill of heart disease since last Thursday.
Funeral services were to be held at 3 p. m. Tuesday at Denison, Paul Southern, minister of the Denison Church of Christ officiating. Burial was to be at Friendship cemetery with the Talley Funeral home of Sherman, Texas in charge.
Mr. Benedict was born Jan. 16, 1860 at Columbia, Mo., and had been a resident of Grayson county since 1898. He was a member of the Church of Christ at Whiterock.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Cavana Benedict of Denison; three sons, W. F. Benedict of Whiterock and D. R. and R. E. Benedict of Denison; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Smith of Denison and Mrs. Thelma Maxwell of Howe; three brothers, R. G. Benedict of Stroud, Okla., James Benedict of Columbia, Mo., and Jack Benedict of Sedalia, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Manda Carey and Mrs. Rebecca Brundage of Brown's Station, Mo.; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
