Lona is preceded in death by her mother and father; two daughters, Betty Goodner and Susie Stout; three granddaughters, Tina Goodner, Marian Sexton, and Glenna Starr; one grandson, Darryl Stout; one great-grandson; two great granddaughters; three sisters; and three brothers.
Lona lived in Porum for most of her 97 years. She loved to make a garden, grow pretty flowers and make quilts. Most of all she was a wonderful mother and grandmother. As she would go about her day, she liked to jot down bits of poetry that would pop into her head.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Porum Assembly of God with burial at Coleman Cemetery in Porum under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Porum, Okla.
Pallbearers will be Josh and Jason Hall, Dustin Goodner, Kyle Bush, Wes Merrell, Jason Jaster and Cole Rodden.
